Just Shoot Me!
Back to the mother ship...after a 16-day reconnaissance in the periphery!Man,I thought that it would never get over especially on that last day!24 hour duty is a pain in every possible part of the anatomy!And of course,if I'm on call,the load has to be equivqlent to a freakin OPD on a holiday!My reward for work well done turns out to be the opportunity to do more.
On the eighth day,God said "I'm done.Murphy,you take over".By that corollary,my life ,it has to do a number on me every once in a while.Obs-Gynae and its attendant woes start from tomorrow and with my luck I'll be on call on my birthday!What a perfect way to spend the day...dodging body fluids of all colours(Add green,read amniotic fluid ,to the list).And the invasive procedures in this posting are absolutely the worst!Joy to the world,at least someone should be happy!
P.S.:Any smart-ass comments on the details of this rotation and I come after that person with a scalpel.

I completely forgot the follow up to this post.
I was on call, Monday night and Tuesday (18th morning) Supposedly till 8, but I was let go only at 10:30 after prolonged begging. :(
Needless to say, I passed out at home and had to be shaken awake for dinner with the parents at 8:30 pm.
