Growing Pains
Now I see the fun in being Peter Pan
To stay a child as long as one can.
Some mourn the loss of innocence as they grow
But that aint my grouse, you know.
Naivete one loses in the line I took
When at the seamier side of life, one takes a look.
But the dilemma that's making me blue
Is deciding what next to do.
Decisions on decisions spread before me
Like a vast,unchanging sea.
Oh,to be a child for a while,I would be glad
And let the major decisions be taken by Mom and Dad.
Adulthood has nothing to do with the age of maturity
Or being allowed to marry or booze freely.
It comes with making choices, life changing or minor
Whether it's one's specialization or the day's choice at the diner.
For life lies before me,like a bed of driven snow
And I must measure my steps for every mark will show.
Liff As I Know It!
