Studying is like men...a pain but a necessity!

Yes,this is what I do when I'm supposed to be studying!

Studying is such a bore
It annoys me to the very core.
A Herculean task it is for me
But for now,it is all I see
My cross to bear in the years ahead
The thought,it fills me with such dread!
I can't complain,this burden I agreed to bear
When I chose to enter the world of medical care.
But the university rules are so knotty
I fear I'll study till I'm forty!
Looking back,a breeze my UG exams seemed to be
SO different from the entrances for a PG degree.
The first three years of exams helped me confirm
That certain subjects(read Micro),I never want to relearn.
And the final year,my attention helped to fix
On either Surgery or Paediatrics.
But back to Square One now I am,
Studying again for yet another exam.
An irony,this is I have to say
For in MD/MS,experience is the need of the day!
And after that I'll have to study again
To earn my super specialization.
Oh when,with studying,will my way part
And my real life finally start?!

A Hossana to Internship

Yea,internship's made me wax poetic...get over it,people! :-P

I'm finally done with service to the Community
Back to a clinical rotation it is for me.
Though my last day,in the UHC,I did spend
Immunizing a line of babies that never seemed to end.
I'm in Surgery,it's about time too
Been waiting for this for months(two times two).
Tomorrow,I start with Ortho,aint that cool?
Especially since I'm working with the hot docs(drooool).
Yea,a cognitive bias that is,some may say
But a HYH sure brightens up a girl's day!
A return to blood collections and nights on call
One has to love medical slavery and its trappings et al.
The good,the bad and the ugly I've seen
A roller coaster ride,the year so far has been.
Internship's going on at a fantastic pace
Can't even think till I reach the next base.
Long days and long nights seemingly without end
Enlivened by the company of amazing friends.
Oh!I wish this particular ship didn't have to sail
For as good times go-so far it's been a whale.

For a mop-up in the hot sun aint a joke
